The Global Sea Level Observing System (GLOSS) is an international program that provides oversight and coordination for global and regional sea-level networks in support of scientific research.
Founded by the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) of UNESCO in 1985, GLOSS aims at the establishment of high quality global and regional sea level networks for application to climate, oceanographic and coastal sea level research.
